In line with its efforts to further enhance Sharjah’s position on the world tourism map and promote the emirate’s finest tourism and hospitality offerings among Kazakh tourists, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) will lead a high-level delegation from the emirate of Sharjah at the Kazakhstan International Tourism and Travel Fair - KITF 2018. The event is scheduled from April 18 to 20, 2018to in Kazakh city Almaty from at the Almaty International Exhibition Centre.

SCTDA will utilise KITF’s strategic platform to support its efforts to increase the influx of international tourists to Sharjah by tapping into the Kazakh market. The Authority’s participation will thus facilitate the achievement of Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021, which aims to attract 10 million visitors to the emirate by 2021.

Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, emphasized the importance of the Authority’s participation in the Kazakhstan International Tourism and Travel Fair, as it reflects the commitment of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to make the Emirate the ideal family destination. He added that the participation opens new horizons to support the emirate’s tourism goals by attracting more Kazakh tourists and coincides with the recent decision to exempt them from pre-entry visa requirements to enter the UAE.
